Week 2 Tight End Streamers For Fantasy Football: T.J. Hockenson Faces A Great Matchup

Now if we could only convince Dalton Kincaid that he should be running close to full-time routes for the Bills. TE Streamers For Week 2 In Fantasy Football

Mike Gesicki | Bengals at Texans

A great quarterback (Josh Allen) connected with a TE filled with potential (Dalton Kincaid) 5 times for 130 yards against what had appeared to be an impenetrable Texans defense. Now we have another great QB (Joe Burrow) traveling to H-town with a talented TE (Mike Gesicki) by his side.

Gesicki took advantage of a quiet day for Ja'Marr Chase (2-12-0) having a rare off game to go for 5-78-1 in the opener. Don’t expect consecutive low-volume days from Chase, though Gesicki could reward fantasy managers with enough faith to start the TE with the fun Gritty dance. He was No. 5 in UR Score in Week 1.

Hunter Henry | Patriots vs. Steelers

With the injury that landed A.J. Brown on IR, Hunter Henry steps up in the target pecking order for the Patriots. Last year, when AJB was still with the Eagles, Henry saw a 17% target share and 74% route share. He likely will go back to that usage with Romeo Doubs looking like the WR1.

The Steelers holding Kyle Pitts to zero catches on 1 target should not be overemphasized, as it was Cooper Rush behind center for the Falcons. The Steelers defense is still very good, though Henry may get enough volume to contribute beyond his WR19 standing in our fantasy football rankings coming into the season.

T.J. Hockenson | Vikings at Bears

At least for one week, T.J. Hockenson was the No. 2 target behind Justin Jefferson. It was like old times, especially seeing his 81% route share and 16% target share on the way to a 4-36-1 line for Hockenson.

Even with the possibility that Carson Wentz could be the starter for the Vikings in place of Kyler Murray, look at the matchup. Three TEs combined for 6 catches and 62 yards against the Bears last week. This is a defensive matchup that is going to be a target on a weekly basis no matter the position because teams are going to be engaging in shootouts on the regular. Get a piece of this game cheaply through Hockenson.
